I know every other week I'm preaching about the value of a good shirt. But at the end of the day, it's always my default option when I want to feel pulled together, classic and like a somewhat functional adult (you know the drill). They also tend to look their best when approached with a less is more ethos whilst getting dressed. I buy at least one shirt a season from Sherie Muijs, and all became quickly much worn and well loved. My blue and white striped shirt is my current favourite - crisp but relaxed, and the perfect lightweight cotton (picture below).
Sherie's latest lookbook is also right on point - shot and styled by Greta Van Der Star on polaroid. The latest range is stocked at Fabric and Ingrid Starnes / Tessuti. The pale blue stripe is available at Father Rabbit. Or you can totally shop online if leaving the house is too much admin right now. If you pick up one thing to get you through summer, make it one of these.
This was my default outfit all spring - loose and cool, and still practical for running around doing work in. I got these jeans for about 50c and they are actually the perfect boyfriend jean - loose, slightly too short and just the right shade of worn blue.
