The cooler it gets the more I'm inclined to dress more and more like a boy. Shirts, boots, beanies. And regardless of the price, all the best sweaters are mens sweaters - whether they are from The Warehouse or Ralph Lauren. Menswear also definitely lends itself more to layering; with garments like tshirts, shirts, sweaters and coats all making sense together.
As mentioned in my recent post on the Workshop collection, I'm preferring denim and chambray shirts in a deeper, true indigo at the moment. It looks cleaner and works with denim on denim better (if you're that way inclined). £152.85
I own one of these and wear it at least once a week, everyweek. It's perfect for any weather really, but even better to transition into sleeves for Autumn and light layering. It's also just the right amount of sporty and boyish. $25.00
I'm generally not a boot girl, but the one style I like are chelsea boots. These by Jil Sander get all the proportions perfect. £463.84
Denim Jackets work best in that pre-winter period. They definitely need to be loose enough to layer and look a little boxy. This Topshop jacket fits the bill and is a great price. £42.00
You can't go past a classic cable sweater, and you might as well get the iconic Ralph Lauren. These things basically don't date because they've literally been around forever. £795.90
