Last week, Oliver Rose and I shot this photo essay featuring Fabric boutique's current shirting range - focusing on a specific garment and exploring the many incarnations of a classic shirt. From blue oxfords and crisp white cotton to Equipment silks, all paired with chinos or selvedge denim jeans by A.P.C and Superga sneakers. Grace Alexander shows off the simplicity and androgynous beauty of a well-cut shirt, regardless of whether it is mens or womens (both are featured here).
Shirting fascinates me and has long been a backbone of my own wardrobe. So much longevity in one garment yet the perfect shirt is hard to find - and always worth spending on. It's one of the garments that demands integrity and quality, and looks all the better for it.
