In Store Now: Karen Walker "North" at The Department Store

Although it hit Karen Walker stores on Saturday, I didn't get a chance to check out the new spring collection until I finally had a free moment on Wednesday afternoon. I quickly jetted over to Karen Walker at The Department Store (my store of choice) to have a peruse and try on of the new range "North". There are so many great pieces - and a sunny afternoon makes everything look even better. Favorite pieces and features of mine several of the fresh (and very Karen) prints - particularly the stripe, the floral and the badge print - and the archival "Liberal & Miserable" t-shirts. I'm always a sucker for cashmere and there are plenty of lightweight, transeasonal offerings. I even sucked up the courage to bare my pale winter legs and try on a pair of the chambray tie-front shorts - and I'm glad I did as they proved to be surprisingly flattering (one always expects the worst when trying summer garments on in winter) and I ended up putting a pair on layby. I highly recommend finding some time to check out the new range, if you haven't already that is.

  1. I've already put some items on laybuy too... can't resist the floral and the orange animal print items contrasting with the black sleeves!

I love exploring brand new collections. Also can't wait for resort to come out. The hot pink!

  2. I honestly can't wait for Resort either, really loving the tennis dresses - you wouldn't happen to know when it is coming out would you?

  7. Hi Anon,

They run pretty true to size, a little larger than usual!! I'm usually an 8 in her shorts and i got an 8 in these. super comfortable too! Quite short though, so you have to be okay with your upper thighs lol. But cute.

    hope this helps!
