PFW Spring 2010: Chloe

Chloe is undoubtably one of my favorite labels (and has been forever). I love what Hannah MacGibbon has been doing - clean, fresh, classic-yet-modern and so wearable. I'm pretty obsessed with beigey-brown-blush shades of tailoring at the moment. Also loving the buttoned-right-up shirts too - such a refreshing feel of restrained, boyish primness. Oh and ALL the model's wore flats. Such a lovely change.

I'm really digging denim-on-denim these days too - the trick is to have slightly different shades. There's something so deliciously bad taste and nostalgic about it - and obviously there's all the working class, blue collar connotations.

The big bulky capes from the fall collection had me crushing hard - so it was great to see lighter weight versions in fresh creams for spring. On a cream tangent, the look on the left shows how well white and cream can work together. I love the pairing of the cream blazer with the long white skirt - long, lean and clean.

The bags too are a breath of fresh air. I love that everyones moving away from pimped-put it bags. These have a solid, dependable, classic quality - with the perfect skins evoking the desirable luxury. Love the boxy shape.

The Chloe show's are guaranteed to have one of my favorite beauty looks every season; natural, glow-y, rumpled. So perfect.
